Now this is a gooseneck to fifth wheel conversion, designed to work with the B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch if you have that on your F-250. If you have the need to carry a gooseneck trailer and a fifth wheel trailer, this could be a good way to do both. Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2023 GMC Sierra 2500, we're gonna be checking out the B&W Companion Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch. So right away, the Companion, this is gonna be designed to work with the B&W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. And there's a couple of reasons that I can think of why you'd want to use the Companion over the standard type fifth wheel head that uses the traditional type rails. And one of them is that you have a couple of different types of trailers. So if you have a gooseneck and a fifth wheel, having the gooseneck hitch allow you to pull that trailer, and then by picking up the Companion, it'll let you drop this fifth wheel right into that gooseneck hitch and hook up to your fifth wheel trailer. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2020 Ram 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at I'mma show you a couple of features on the B&W fifth wheel companion gooseneck fifth wheel hitch. This hitch is designed to be a gooseneck adapter so you take your gooseneck that's your B&W gooseneck that's already installed in your truck, and you can drop in this sliding fifth wheel hitch in order to tow your fifth wheel trailer. Now, the greatest advantage of a sliding hitch is that when you're towing a fifth wheel camper in the bed of a regular bed truck, this is a six foot four bed. What'll happen is if you have a standard fifth wheel, the rotation point is gonna be right here on top of the fifth wheel, and then the nose of your camper will have issues with turning. So you can only get about a 30 degree turn out of a or a six degree turn, whichever way you look at it. more

Hi John with etrailer. If you're looking to convert your 5th wheel over to a gooseneck, then take a look at this. This is the Gen-Y Torsion Flex 5th Wheel Gooseneck Coupler, and we have it on our 2021 DRV travel trailer. Now this coupler will work for you if your pin weight and that's gonna be the force pushing down here is between 3,500 pounds and 5,500 pounds. This is gonna accept a 2-5/16 ball. The actual unit itself is rated up to 25,000 pounds for towing capacity. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Curt CrossWing Gooseneck to 5th wheel trailer hitch adapter and then seeing how it fits on this 2022 GMC Sierra 2500. Now there's going to be a couple things that make this system so unique. For one, the Curt CrossWing is a very new take on the 5th wheel hitch. It's very lightweight, much smaller and more compact than a traditional 5th wheel would be. So getting it in and out of the truck bed is very easy doing it on your own because it only weighs about 70 pounds. more

Hey, guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Blue Ox Gooseneck 5th wheel hitch here in our 2015 GMC Sierra 2500. If you have a gooseneck hitch in the bed of your truck but you still need to tow your 5th wheel trailer or maybe you are planning on towing your 5th wheel and you just don't have anything yet but you don't really like the look of those base rails and how much space they're gonna take up even when the hitch isn't in place, then installing that gooseneck and getting yourself the Blue Ox gooseneck to 5th wheel hitch is gonna be the right solution for you. All right, now that we're backed up, we have our king pin right over the center of our hitch. I can go ahead and pull out my pin, pop out our lever and then we're gonna go ahead and lower down our pin box. (machinery whining) Now that we're coupled up, we're gonna make sure that we put our pin and clip back in place so that our handle can't pull out and uncouple from our trailer. (truck rumbling) This hitch is a nice lightweight alternative while also offering a nice sturdy base, compared to some of the other options that are out on the market right now. more

Howdy everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Blue Ox BXR2100 gooseneck connection fifth wheel on our 2013 Dodge Ram 2500. Between the base, utilizing the gooseneck ball and the head being able to come apart, that's pretty cool. It being really lightweight is really clutch. If you are just struggling getting it in and out or just wanna work a little smarter, not harder, I think it's gonna be a pretty good option for you, especially with the top. It's just gonna prevent those false hookups and those trailer drops. more

Hi there, Keystone owners. Today on your 2017 Keystone Cougar, we're gonna be replacing the old pin box with Reese's Goose Box. Now, if we look here at the Reese logo, you'll notice that there's an opening here. And this is where you can see this lower portion that's right down here. And this will actually pivot like this inside of there. That's where the dampening mechanism is that takes air pressure. more

Today, on our 2004 Dodge Ram pickup 2500 Series QuadCab, we're going to be installing a B&W turn over ball under-bed Gooseneck trailer hitch, part number BWGNRK1313. This can also be used with a B&W Gooseneck to 5th-wheel adapter, part number BWRVK3500. Next, lets go over the operation of our B&W Gooseneck hitch. Now, we'll go ahead and pull the handle out and put it in the locked position so it's locked open. We can then install the Gooseneck ball into the receiver head. Put the ball into position. We can release the handle, locking the ball in place. Now, when we're not using the Gooseneck ball, we can go ahead and pull the handle out. more

This Underbed Kit can be used with the Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter by replacing the hitch ball with the 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch such as part number BWRVK3500. Now, we can go over operation of our new Gooseneck hitch and ball. To install our Gooseneck ball, well simply pull out on the hitch handle, rotating it towards the cab of the pickup to lock the pin out so we can then take the ball and drop it into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch. Then to release the handle, well simply rotate it towards the rear of the vehicle and the spring pressure will close the pin on the Gooseneck ball.Once were finished using our new Gooseneck ball, well simply pull the handle on the pin again, locking out the hitch pin, taking the ball out, turning it over, and putting it back down into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch and releasing the handle, locking the pin back in position and locking the ball in the stored position.To begin our install, well first go ahead and lower and remove the spare tire and remove both rear wheels. While its not a requirement, it will give us a lot more working room and make an easier install. more

5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video
Today on our 2007 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're going to be installing the BMW Custom Under-bed Installation Kit for BMW companion 5th wheel trailer hitches. Part number: BWGNRK1108-5W. The BMW Companion Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter, Part number: BWRVK3500 is designed to be used with BMWs custom under-bed installation kits for companion 5th wheel trailer hitches. Before we begin our install, we'll go ahead and go over the operation of the hitch. Simply pull here on the driver's side rear well and rotate it forward. This will lock the pin in the open position, we'll take the ball, align it up with the hole here, we'll slide it in place, we'll then release the handle in the driver's side rear well, securing the ball in place. When you're not using the ball simply pull the handle out, secure it into the unlocked position, you then take the ball out, and flip it over and drop it back down into the hitch. Once that's done you release the handle in the rear well securing the ball back in the hitch. Here's both of our safety chain loops, you'll notice that they are spring-loaded from the springs we put on underneath so they'll pull back down. Simply raise them up and hook your safety chain to it, and now we'll go ahead and begin our install. We're going to begin our installation by first lowering and setting the spare tire out of the way. more

Once you have the ball in place, you'll simply take the handle and release it back all the way in. This will lock the ball in place. Now we can show you how the safety chain loops work. more

B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
All right, today in this 2011 Dodge Ram pickup, 3500 series Crew Cab, we're going to install part number BWRVK3500. We want to make sure we remove the goose neck ball. Now at this point, we can go ahead and start working with our 5th wheel companion hitch. We're going to start off with our hitch partially assembled already. So we just need an extra set of hands to help hold it and put it in the bed of the truck then we'll go ahead and put it into our hitch. When initially in place, we want to make sure that our pads are in a trough of the bed itself. We'll go ahead and tighten down the hardware to secure our pads. Now we're lucky our bolts actually got in a little bit of a bind, so we can just tighten them down from the top. If necessary, you can use a Phillips screwdriver underneath to tighten it into place. Next we'll go ahead and install our pin from underneath. I make sure the pin goes all the way through the hitch and also the 5th wheel companion hitch as well. Now during your assembly of the 5th wheel, these four bolts on each side should be still loose. more
